Football Tournament in memory of Chris Sparks

Trinity and Shoc held a Football Tournament in memory of a valued member of staff, Chris Sparks, who sadly passed away from COVID in April last year.

Staff, family and friends all joined together with mixed emotions to remember Chris and to be together, in person, for the first time since lockdown. Three Teams consisted of Trinity Staff, Trinity Residents and a Team from SHOC. It was a close call, but the SHOC Team won the final game and lifted the Shield.

A Penalty Shoot out competition was held for the kids and each was presented with a medal and the winner a Trophy. The Chris Sparks Memorial Shield was presented by Chris’s wife, Linda, who gave a very moving speech recounting how proud Chris was to work with the charity and would have loved the fact that we are remembering him in this way.

Thanks to Trinity staff member, Tony, who organised the event and to Uxbridge College who gave us free use of the pitch.
