Konnie Huq and Trinity Donation

Recycling is fantastic for the environment, and it can also be a fantastic way to help those less fortunate.

As part of its ‘Give Back January’ campaign, the Recycle Your Electricals initiative is facilitating the donation of electrical items from celebrities. It is a great idea, and an ideal way to draw attention to all the good things the programme does.

Former Blue Peter presenter Konnie Huq is the face of the Give Back January campaign. She is a keen admirer of Trinity’s remarkable work in the local community and she decided she wanted to do her bit to help us by donating her unwanted electricals to our charity.

“You may think of your unwanted electricals as useless, but they can be useful,” Konnie says in the Give Back January promotional video. “Even broken items can be recycled. It’s the perfect antidote for all that spending that happened over Christmas, especially on tech items, which are getting ever more popular.”

Konnie made her donation to Trinity earlier this month, following in the footsteps of previous celebrity donors such as Andrea McLean and Denise Van Outen. If you would like to read more about the work done by Recycle Your Electricals, visit their website.

We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to Konnie for her generosity and support, and look forward to welcoming any other celebrities who want to get involved with the vital work we do here at Trinity.
