Job title: Assistant Shop Manager / Van Driver: Trinity Furniture Store

Full-time, Permanent

Location: Uxbridge, Greater London

Salary: £24,000.00 /year

Trinity is the largest provider of supported accommodation in the London Borough of Hillingdon, providing assistance to those who are suffering the effects of homelessness so that they never become homeless again. Join our team and help us achieve our mission of ending homelessness for good by supporting the Store Manager in all things retail in our furniture stores.

You will:

  • Take an active role in the coaching and mentoring of team members under your supervision.
  • Drive sales and organizational growth by delivering excellent customer service, sound decision-making and showing great intuition
  • Create a positive and safe work environment which is customer-focused
  • Support the Shop Managers by providing operational cover where required. This could mean driving a van with a team to collect and deliver furniture or managing shop floor teams.
  • Role will include a lot of repetitive heavy lifting, and requires a full clean driving licence.
  • Ideally you will have a few years of experience in this field.

Job title: Delivery Driver

Delivers products, goods and parcels safely and efficient to designated location within set timeframe. Ensures proper handling and delivery of sensitive materials with authorisation if necessary and deliver high standards of customer care.

Responsible to: Duty Manager

Location: Uxbridge

Delivery Driver Job Duties:

  • May deliver up to 100 parcels a day
  • Keeps accurate records of deliveries and customer authorisation and ensure all documentation is submitted to management on time
  • Properly uses and maintains delivery equipment, including handheld scanner
  • May have to lift heavy products or parcels
  • Drives safely and follow all laws and rules of driving to maintain a safe and healthy work environment
  • Keeps company vehicle clean and ensure it is well-maintained, has fuel, oil and is ready to drive
  • Communicates with customers by phone to update them of time of deliveries if there have been issues or changes to their estimated time of arrival
  • Follows pre-planned route accurately without deviation from set course
  • Maintains communication with management to be informed of any change of delivery, route or schedule
  • Informs management of any obstructions to making safe, efficient deliveries on time

Delivery Driver Skills and Qualifications:

Driver’s License, Courteous, Previous Driving Experience, Good Customer Service Skills, Good Communication Skills, No Driving Disqualifications With the Last Three Years, Problem-Solver, Patient, Pleasant, Enthusiastic, Attention to Detail, Ability to Handle Fragile Packages and Parcels With Care, Ability to Work Under Pressure, Ability to Work On a Team, Ability to Drive Long Distances and Sit for Long Periods of Time, Be Physically Fit, Able to Meet Deadlines

 

Job Title: Resident Coach

Salary: £23,000 - £27,000 pa, 40 hr work week.

Responsible to: Head of Coaching

Trinity has become the largest provider of supported accommodation in West London, as we grow and develop we require more people to join our aim of ending homelessness by working with rough-sleeping individuals, working out a resolution to their problems as they find paths back into employment and permanent living spaces.

Our coaches work directly with the residents of our supported accommodation, helping them to successfully manage their tenancies. We work with our residents to guide them on tackling the issues that led to and developed due to rough sleeping through techniques such as motivational interviews, apprecitive enquiry and Neuro Linguisitc Programming.

A coach at trinity will be a kind, sincere and patient individual with good listening skills.

Further Requirements:

  • Time Management
  • Previous experience with drugs, alcohol and mental health issues
  • Driver's License and car
  • Be able to work with flexible hours
  • Work well in a team and individually where required, as well as with outside parties.
