Performance
Every person, every minute, every penny, every metric, every lever is employed to end homelessness.
Performance
Jackie Pullinger, speaking at a conference was asked the question “How do you measure success?” Jackie’s answer…”What a rude, question. How would you answer if I asked you how successful you were with your children? There is no success, only love.”
Transparency stands as the cornerstone of equality, illuminating the path towards a fair and just society. It serves as a powerful force for accountability, ensuring that decisions are made openly and with integrity.
By shedding light on processes, policies, and practices, transparency fosters trust and confidence, empowering us to hold one another to account.
Moreover, it dismantles barriers to access and opportunity, levelling the playing field for all, inspiring a culture of openness, collaboration, and respect, where every voice is heard, and every life is valued.
Supply
We are seeing the impact of landlords leaving the market and the scarcity of properties within budget.
We have had to stop taking referrals this quarter as our waiting list has grown to 50 people.
Outcomes
We have housed 488 people so far this year and 72 have moved on to their own home (22% Supported Housing, 15% overall).
People are staying longer and rent arrears remain high at 8% (6% excluding safeguarding) against a budget of 5%. Evictions are taking 12-18 months.
This will impact our arrears as payments stop from those being evicted. This can also increase anti-social behaviour, in turn increasing voids due to tenant damage.
