It’s been over 24 hours since The Big Sleep Out

It’s been over 24 hours since The Big Sleep Out 2024 closed and we wanted to say thank you to everyone who attended and supported SHOC and Trinity Homeless Projects .

The night was spectacular, we had brilliant live entertainment, music, a great raffle , hot food and drinks , a tombola, sweet treats, fun and games and laughter, but also a time to listen to real life stories of those we support and time to reflect on the last 12 months.

When the silent disco stopped, it was time to bed down for the evening , we had around 40 people take part in our sleep out and all had taken part in fundraising. It was a cold and silent night and we want to give thanks to everyone who gave up there beds for the night to really see how hard this is. We want to thank all our volunteers who helped make this evening run smoothly, from running the stalls, being a DJ, helping set up and pack up and being a set of wheels when we needed something quite urgently.

We want to thank Slough Town Football Club for letting us use there venue and for cooking our bacon rolls, the grounds were perfect and even with football matches taking part during our event, your supporters also came and visited us and were fantastic.

We want to thank everyone who supported our event by donating much needed food and drinks, raffle prizes and advertisement.

Thank you to everyone who attended and supported all our teams and the great acts we had on stage.

We will be thanking everyone who took part and supported individually via email as there is so many people to tag. Below are some pictures we have received from the event. Please tag us in your pics as we would love to see your evening.

Tomorrow we start our Christmas Tree Gift Tag appe

Tomorrow we start our Christmas Tree Gift Tag appeal.

Pop into our Uxbridge furniture store any time from tomorrow and take a tag from the tree and return before the 20th December so we can give your gift to someone who has experienced homelessness in the borough.

Ages range for 0-80 and all we ask is no gifts contain alcohol or nuts. You can spend anything you like.

We want to make sure everyone had a gift to open Christmas Day. Please take as many tags as you like and give to someone in need this Christmas.

We are also supporting Give & Share and SHOC with tags.
